Dear Vabble Community.
It goes without saying, many of you wait in anticipation for the Beta. How do we know this? Well, it appears to be the most frequently asked question on discord and telegram (Yes, we listen very closely :wink: ). We feel you. We are hyped too. So, here is some clarity:
3 months ago we announced the Beta was due late summer (end of Sept). This was a very realistic goal at that time and we felt we had everything in place to meet those requirements.
Fast forward 2 months and it became a very unrealistic goal due to two reasons;
1. Migration of front-end from React to NextJS.
2. Legal Requirements
Migration
Our initial goal was to migrate the front-end from react to nextjs in a matter of weeks. This migration was going to improve front-end development, deployment and over all UX speed and it has done just that HOWEVER, this migration took a little more time than we first anticipated, specifically we found issues with communication between back-end and front-end that are now all but mostly resolved.
Legal
When we first began our legal route to better position Vabble and our token VAB within U.S law, we expected for our SVOD product to be of little friction with the U.S but it turns out, this isn't the case. We required the DAO product to support the SVOD and meet decentralization requirements to ensure VAB token and Vabble itself would not be viewed as a security under U.S law.
As you can imagine, this process has been painstakingly slow and time consuming from both a development point of view since we have to build the DAO to support the SVOD, 1 Quarter before the DAO should be released and still finalize the SVOD development. The legal side has also been slow. We are lucky to have an incredible legal team behind us in the U.S but as with every legal process, it is detailed and inherently slow however, we are in the final stages of the U.S memo and have received legal analysis and conclusions of the Vabble products and Vab token ecosystem.
So What Now???
Our roadmap states the Beta will go live between Q2 - Q4 2022. Clearly, we are still within this time frame. Our late summer release date was us being super pumped to release the product and over achieve on yet another goal we set over 18 months ago, like we have done with every other goal on the roadmap so far. Guess what, we are still going to hit that target of Beta before the end of Q4 just not late summer. We have pushed the Beta into late Oct/Early Nov.
We are very sorry to have had to push the Beta and trust me when I say the team felt "beat up" about it because we have NEVER had to push something before during this whole project but it is for the better given the legal standing of Vabble and the Vab token upon BETA release, the DAO coming to market much earlier than anticipated and other little things we have going on.
